Adam continues to the scale the rungs of the ladder. Then, without warning, Talita's clamp around his ribcage and she plucks him off the structure, putting him down on the foundation of the tower with an unceremonious THUMP. The surprise wearing off, he gets up and turns to look at her furious face.
